NON-PROFIT + ACTIVISM

After former President Trump was elected, news spread of ICE agents unlawfully detaining immigrants near the Texas border. Many were unaware of their rights and what to do when taken. I designed MigraCam to enable immigrants to quickly and safely send videos and messages to their family, friends and the ACLU.

As part of the design for the app, I interviewed reporters and immigrants at the border. I explored ACLU’s treated imagery, bold typography and comforting voice appears to match the brand, then adapted system components and customers pains to create a ‘safety knowledge hub,’ which suits customers needs better.
